No Honking Campaign Targets Noise Pollution in Vasant Kunj

NEW DELHI – The Pallav Green Foundation, in collaboration with students from Vasant Public School, launched a “No Honking” campaign in Vasant Kunj area to combat rising noise pollution. The initiative aims to educate drivers about the harmful effects of unnecessary honking, including increased road rage, accidents, and hearing problems.

Volunteers engaged with drivers, urging them to refrain from excessive honking and promoting a more peaceful urban environment. “No Honking” stickers were distributed to drivers and passersby to reinforce the message.

“Excessive honking contributes significantly to noise pollution, impacting the well-being of residents,” said Dr Anjulika Joshi, Director of Pallav Green Foundation . She said “We believe that through community awareness and cooperation, we can create a quieter and more harmonious city.”

The campaign underscores the importance of community involvement in addressing environmental issues and encourages collective responsibility for a quieter urban landscape.
