Plants and trees make our environment not only embellished but pollution free as well. Therefore, they should be existed in the environment. The greenery spreads as many as trees and plants we do have. Their dew drops, leaves and flowers bring prosperity and bliss in our life.But there are some plants and trees that cast ominous effect upon us. We should be concerned \'which tree or plant should be grown and which ones should not be\'. The plant of \'Arjun\' is a medicinal one which is aupposed to be auspicious and so is the tree of \'Ashoka\'. But it should be specially considered that Ashoka tree should be planted in a specific direction only. Coconut tree is also propitious to be grown in the house. As far as shrinking space is concerned, the housing system in metropolis is \'Apartment or flat system\', due to which tree plantation seems difficult to be done at a residential place. Therefore, all floral plants are considered as auspicious ones. It is essential to sow the plants that spread fragrance, such as Champa and Chameli. Goddess Lakshmi is believed to be abided at the place where chameli is grown. The holiest and most pious plant is \'Tulsi\' or basil as per hindu culture and vastu as well. It is considered as a medicinal herb which does occupy much space; hence, it is auspicious and the beneficial one. It should be placed in \'Eshan-kona\' or northeast corner of the house. Basically, magnetic energy flows into our house from east and scatters in the entire house. By keeping Tulsi plant in northeast, its medicinal values spread in the whole house; pleasure and prosperity bust in and vastu defects are also eliminated in the house. There are some plants and trees which get off prosperity, happiness and sound health. As per vastu norms or guidelines, they should not bedecked inside or nearby our house. Talking first about trees, the tree of \'keekar\' should never be planted inside our residential boundary since it breeds poverty and signifies problems in our life. Ganoor tree should also be avoided. The tree of neem is, however, considered as a medicinal one but as per vastu, it must not be grown inside the house. Moving towards fruit giving trees, the tree of banana, lemon and pomegranate should also be avoided. Marigold plants are belived to be auspicious one. Its blooming yellow flowers are advantageous from the prospective of study and focus. This plant is beneficial for every one since it has significant devotional value. The plant of \'Shammi\'  should not be grown inside the boundary or house. Except thorny and milk or starch secreting bushes and plants, any plant can be sown in the garden or orchid outside the house. Gooseberry and tamarind trees must not be planted nearby residential place as per vastu. Often,  they grow on their own. So, uproot them carefully. As per vastu, the plant grown for years  can not be uprooted. Therefore, tulsi and floral plants should be grown around it to reduce its vastu defect. Plant more and more trees to defeat global warming and avoid deforestation as life exists in the trees as well.
